Setting your Display Resolution

For Windows 10
- Right-click anywhere on your open desktop. A pop up menu appears.
- Select Display Resolution.
- Locate and click on Advanced Settings.
- Under Resolution is a drop-down box where you can choose the desired resolution.
- Click Apply to save the setting.
For Windows 7
- Right-click anywhere on your open desktop. A pop up menu appears.
- Select Screen Resolution.
- There are three drop down lists: Display, Resolution and Orientation.
- Display should contain the model of display connected to your PC.
If you have a multiple video setup then all monitors will be listed.
Choose the monitor you want to adjust.
- Resolution will contain the resolution settings available for the monitor chosen in the Display list.
Choose the resolution you want. You may have to try a few to get the look you want.
- Orientation lets you choose Portrait or Landscape for the orientation of the monitor window.
For Windows XP
- Right-click anywhere on your open desktop. A pop up menu appears.
- Select Properties and ‘display properties' window opens.
- Select the Settings tab and in the ‘Screen Area’ (98) or ‘Screen Resolution’ (XP) section, move the adjuster to the right to get higher (better) resolution.
- Click OK.
Note: If the resolution for your display is set too low, text and graphics will not appear sharp and crisp.
You may have to try a few adjustments to get the resolution that provides the best viewing.
